This JB project is a modernist tour de force, proclaiming heroic modern minimalism while sensitively keeping ties with Northwest regionalist principles. Expansive decks bounded by Wrightian bulkhead walls, along with broad overhanging natural wood soffits, connect indoors with outdoors.  The home’s view gazes to the Puget Sound through abundant glass.

There are no trim moldings; natural wood is expressed in doors and cabinets only.  The main and upper floors, along with linking floating stair treads, are cast in gleaming white terrazzo finish, while the daylight basement is grounded in dark stained concrete.  This project demonstrates JB Architecture can comfortably converse in contemporary design vocabulary.
